A damaged statue of Jesus stands inside the Syriac Catholic Church of the Immaculate Conception in Qaraqosh, Iraq. The church and the entire town suffered heavy damage during the two-year ISIS occupation from 2014 to 2016. Qaraqosh is the largest Christian town in Iraq. (May 20, 2017)
