Iran-Iraq border in Byara, Iraq

_DSC6907raw.jpg

A member of Kurdish security, or Asayish, walks along a hillside canal on the outskirts of Byara, a town located in the Halabja province of Iraqi Kurdistan. The border with Iran runs through here, though the exact boundary line is said to be unclear. This security officer suggested that so long as one stayed on the left side of the canal, he could be certain of still being in Iraq.
