A piece of wreckage from "Marge", a P-38 Lightning assigned to Richard Bong, the highest scoring American ace of World War Two. On March 24, 1944, piloted that day by 2nd Lt. Thomas E. Malone, the plane experienced mechanical issues and crashed in the mountains on the Rai Coast of Papua New Guinea This part, made by General Electric, bears the text "G.E. CO MADE IN U.S.A". (May 16, 2024)
