Father Duraid Barber invites a photographer into his classroom, where he is teaching music. The classes are part of the ministry of Mart Shmoni church, a Syriac Catholic church in Ankawa, a suburb of Erbil, Iraq. Most of the parisioners are IDPs, pushed out of their homes in Qaraqosh during the 2014 ISIS advance. Father Duraid, age 47, is from Qaraqosh and has been a priest for 16 years. (May 15, 2017)
