A cross dangles from the damaged bell tower at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, a Syriac Catholic church in the Iraqi town of Qaraqosh that was occupied by ISIS from 2014 to 2016. Also known as Hamdaniya, the predominately Christian town of Qaraqosh is located about 30 kilometres from Mosul. (May 20, 2017)
