El Árbol del Tule (Spanish for “The Tree of Tule”) is a Montezuma Cypress located on church grounds at Santa María del Tule in the Mexican state of Oaxaca. It is known as the stoutest tree in the world, its age estimated at between 1,200 and 3,000 years.
