A grave in the medieval Jewish cemetery in Yeghegis, Armenia. The cemetery was in use for less than a century (the oldest tombstone is dated 1266 and the latest 1336/7). Many of the graves have inscriptions in Hebrew; two are in Aramaic. Researchers theorize that this Jewish community had come here from Persia.
