Viljandi, Estonia - July 25, 2015: At midnight during the Viljandi Folk Music Festival, a small group of people congregate around a statue of Johan Laidoner. An important figure in modern Estonian history, Laidoner was exiled by Stalin when the Soviet Union occupied Estonia in 1940. He died 13 years later, in 1953, at Vladimir Central Prison outside Moscow -- the same prison where U-2 pilot Francis Gary Powers would be held less than a decade later.
