Mandalay, Myanmar - November 8, 2011: Broken glass and barbed wire are part of the brick wall surrounding Judson Baptist Church in Mandalay. Reverend Adoniram Judson (August 9, 1788 – April 12, 1850) was an American missionary who translated the Bible into Burmese. During his 37 years as a missionary in the region, he returned to the United States only once.
