I was in the midst of a mild crisis this day, my first in Ireland, because it was my 40th birthday. But this man had fallen and hit his head and nobody could revive him. An ambulance took him away.

Sometimes our neighbor really is on the side of the road, and many people walk past before someone stops to help.
