The blackened walls of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, a Syriac Catholic Church in Qaraqosh, Iraq. The church was heavily damaged by ISIS during its two-year occupation of the predominately Christian town, which ended on October 19, 2016, when Qaraqosh was liberated as part of the Battle of Mosul.
