Jerusalem - October 19, 2010: Christian pilgrims carry a cross out the entrance to the Monastery of the Flagellation, located on the Via Dolorosa. It is here, according to tradition, that Pontius Pilate sentenced Jesus to death by crucifixion, and where he was flogged and forced to carry the cross.
